”Realism” not an excuse
“Some committed and prayerful Christians, with the excuse of realism and pragmatism, tend to ridicule expressions of concern for the environment. Others are passive; they chose not to change their habits....” (Laudato Si, 217). Pope Francis said this in 2015. Last year the International Climate Commission said, after exhaustive research, that we had only twelve years left to take action to stop global warming going beyond 1.5 degrees. Already we have used up one year of this. Christians cannot be passive. You could begin by taking the “Green Christmas” sheet at the back of the Church....
Our CHURCH SHOP has a superb range of Christmas items. Signed Christmas Mass Cards,
Boxes & packets of Christmas cards, Advent calendars, church art calendars, children’s books & gifts, cribs & candles a variety of decorative items angels & tree decorations + advents candle sets.
ADVENT PRAYER TREE. there are simple prayers on the tree, inspired by the basic Advent Prayer Come Lord Jesus. Keep praying Come Lord Jesus to invite Jesus Christ to come to your heart and to those you love or are concerned about.
COME LORD JESUS.
