Singing we go!
Please note the following for your reference, the rules of the diocese about “Singing”.
Due to Covid-19
- Congregational and Choral singing at Mass/Church Services is suspended until further notice.
- A cantor keeping social distance (2m) may sing selected pieces. An instrumentalist may accompany the singer) as at funeral services.
- Otherwise, spontaneous (random) singing is always forbidden and this prohibition pre-dates the Covid-19 restrictions!
- “Piped” recorded suitable music may be used.
The Archbishop* insists that rules 1-3 be strictly obeyed without any exception whatsoever.
