5th November 2020
Dear Parents, Girls and Boys
I invite you to pray with me at the Mass next Sunday, 8th November at 12 noon via the Parish Webcam.
I will welcome everyone, especially girls and boys who are looking forward to celebrating the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation) First Holy Communion and Confirmation when the church reopens. Please God, the Covid-19 Level 5 restrictions will be eased next month, after 6 weeks. I believe God is waiting to gather us all together again so that we can listen to the gospel and pray at Mass.
Girls and boys, I encourage you to follow the Mass by using “My Picture Missal” which many of you have. In this way you will come to understand what happens at Mass and learn some of the prayers we say at Mass. You can join this Mass via the parish webcam at www.holyfamilyparish.ie
Of course, it is important to pray every day. The family that prays together grows together in faith, hope and love. Some families like to light a candle and pray even one decade of the rosary for peace in the world (i.e. one Our Father, ten Hail Marys and one Glory be to the Father), as you reflect on an event in the life of Our Lord.
May God bless us all and keep us safe.
Fr. John D. Killeen, C.C.
