Mission Statement - Our Parish seeks to live as a family – supporting one another, open to all comers, and building a community where each person feels wanted and cared for. To make this happen, we will work to grow in holiness through prayer and service and we will try to show God’s love in our daily lives.
Your prayers are requested for the souls of Alice Keegan and Ray Owens recently deceased, and for those whose anniversaries occur around this time.
MAY THE SOULS OF ALL THE FAITHFUL THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD REST IN PEACE. AMEN.

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity takes place from January 18 to 25. This year’s theme is Be-Longing. All pastoral resources for this are available on the following website: https://ctbi.org.uk/resources-for-week-of-prayer-for-christian-unity-2023/.
Its inauguration in Dublin will take place at an interdenominational service in Christ Church Cathedral on Wednesday 18th January at 8.00 p.m. preacher is the Very Rev. Paul Canon O’Driscoll P.P., Parish of the Travelling People.
There is a church unity service nearby at the Church of the Assumption, Castle Street, Dalkey at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday 24th January.
“The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is a privileged moment of prayer, encounter, and dialogue. It is an opportunity to recognise and receive the richness and value that are present in the other, the different, and to ask God for the gift of unity. “From Archbishop Dermot Farrell’s letter of 4th Jan. 2023
Church Heating Adjustment
10 a.m. Mass from Monday to Saturday inclusive is being celebrated, in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in order to reduce church heating costs. You may be already aware of the high cost of this heating due to the recent acute increase in the charges for gas. Outside of weekday Masses, other Masses will be celebrated in the Main Church which will be heated. A generous donor has enabled the extension of the webcam to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel for weekday Mass at 10.00 a.m. Work on its installation will begin during the coming week. The heating is under ongoing review. Thank you for your patience and understanding. The church upkeep, including the heating costs, is solely funded from the voluntary family offerings – the standing orders and donations put into the blue box on the table near the church door. The First & Second Sunday Collections, as well as Dues, are Diocesan Collections and not for Parish upkeep. Thank you for your generosity to both these diocesan collections as well as to the Parish Fund.
The monthly collection of the St Vincent de Paul will take place at masses next week, on 21 & 22 January.
