Parish Mission Statement
Our Parish seeks to live as a family – supporting one another, open to all comers, building a community where each person feels wanted and cared for. To make this happen, we will work to grow in holiness through prayer and service and we will try to show God’s love in our daily lives.
Ceremonies are available on the parish webcam.

Collections during Mass on Sundays/ Holydays - Church Collections w.e.f. 06/07 August 2022 Going forward from this weekend, as Dublin diocesan policy directs, two separate collections will be taken up during the Mass- the First Collection for the priests of the parish and the diocese (Common Fund)after the homily and the Second Collection (Share Fund) after the intercessions. The Share collection is sometimes replaced by a special diocesan collection as announced.
Parish Support Fund- weekly donations
Your weekly donations ( Voluntary Family Offering ) are vital for the running expenses of the Parish. This Parish Fund is used to pay salaries, the bills for lighting, heating, insurance, repairs and general maintenance.
Please put what you have been giving for the running of the Parish into the BLUE BUCKETS on the tables beside the doors either before or after Mass.
You have been very generous with your contributions to the parish upkeep fund. Thank you.
Roof Repairs
Thank you for your generous contributions to the church roof repair fund. To date, €10,170 has been donated. . The roofers will resume work towards the end of August. Given the perilous condition of the overall parish finances, your continued support is very much needed and welcome. The coffee/ tea dock will be closed for the month of August for ongoing maintenance at the Resource Centre.
Funeral Ministry Team Every parish is encouraged to have a funeral ministry team consisting of religious and lay, men and women, who have been trained in providing support at a time of loss. The team assists in helping to organise a Christian funeral that the Church has to offer the bereaved. On receiving word of the death of a person, members of the Funeral Ministry Team may visit the bereaved family either on their own or with the priest, deacon, or parish pastoral worker. The purpose of the visit is to sympathise with the family, to bring the peace and hope that the Gospel has to offer and to assure the bereaved family that the parish community is praying for them and their loved ones. They will also bring the Scripture Readings and sample intercessions for the Prayer of the Faithful which will be used during the funeral ceremony. They may help the family to choose the appropriate readings and prayers for the deceased person. The diocese is committed to providing ongoing training to funeral ministry teams both centrally and locally. If interested in joining the Parish Funeral Ministry Team, please contact one of the parish clergy. Summer Dues 2022. Envelopes for the Summer Dues collection are available near the exits in the church. Please return the envelope with donation into the big safe in the church west aisle or into the parish office, which is open Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. €4,760 has been donated to date. Thank you for your generosity. PATHWAYS: EXPLORING FAITH AND MINISTRY Application is now open for the next intake of participants for Pathways. The programme, run by the Dublin Archdiocese, begins this year on Thursday, September 29, in DCU St Patrick’s Campus. Places are limited so early application is advisable. Pathways is a two-year, one evening a week course, for adults of all ages who wish to explore their faith. It runs from late September to May each year, with breaks for Christmas, Easter and mid-terms. There are no exams and no written work. The only requirement is an openness to listening to others and to participate. The cost is €400 per year which may be paid in instalments throughout the year. For more information visit www.missionministry.ie or contact Pathways director Eileen Houlahan, CHF, PhD, at 01 8087594 or pathways@dublindiocese.ie.
