WEEKLY ENVELOPES – Family Offering

New boxes with the weekly envelopes of the Family Offering are ready to be delivered.

Would the people who usually deliver them, please collect the new boxes from the back of the church.

The first new envelope is for the 1st July 2019.

I am most grateful to everyone who contributes to the running of the parish either by weekly envelope or by standing order from the bank.

Every euro counts!

Parish Environment Group

Singing from the same sheet.

In many ways the Government’s new Climate Action Plan reads like the practical application in an Irish context of the Pope’s 2015 encyclical on the environment.  While there is far more in the Encyclical than in the Action Plan, at first reading they fit like a glove.  The Action Plan is intended to bring about radical changes in how we travel, work, live and consume - the Encyclical demands a radical change of lifestyle by Christians.  Some we will find easy, some hard, but all necessary, both because of our faith and because of our common humanity.  You can read both the encyclical and the action plan on line, in full or in summary.  Do try to read about both
