MAY THEIR SOULS AND THE SOULS OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD REST IN PEACE. AMEN.
Kindly note that once the list of intentions for the coming week as above has been posted to the Newsletter page on the Parish website (www.holyfamilyparish.ie) and printed off for the Priests’ use during the Masses, additions/adjustments to that week’s list cannot be easily and conveniently made after 11.30 a.m. Thursday of the week.
PARISH OFFICE RESOURCE CENTRE
Please note that that the Parish Office, due to unavoidable circumstances, is closed from Monday 31st August and will re-open on Monday 7th September. The office will also be closed 8th September. The office will re-open on Wednesday 9th September.
SUNDAY / HOLY DAY COLLECTIONS
Thank you for your generosity in continuing to support the parish and the Archdiocesan services.
- The weekly family offering “small envelopes” have been replaced by the ones on the tables near the doors.
- There are also separate envelopes for the First Collection (Priests) and for Share.
- You will see that there is a space for your V.F.O. number at the top left-hand corner of each envelope. The V.F.O. number is the number that was printed on your V.F.O. (green) small envelope in former use. If you know your V.F.O. number, may you kindly write it in the space indicated at the left-hand corner of the envelope. This number is used to record your donations and to claim the tax back from the Revenue. If you don’t recall/know/have a V.F.O. number, simple write your name and address on the envelope for the parish record. In all instances, GDPR (2018) applies.
- You might like to return your collection envelopes each week or retain them until the end of each month whatever may be more convenient.
- Where the donations are recorded under the Government supported “Tax Back” Scheme, a tax refund will be made to the parish. This is a way to increase support for the Parish from your total donations each year.
How does it work?
The tax refund is calculated at 31% regardless of your own income tax bands. See examples of the benefit below:
Total Annual Amount Donated |
Total Value with Tax Refund |
€250.000 |
€327.000 |
€300.000 |
€396.000 |
€500.000 |
€655.000 |
€1,000.000 |
€1,310.00 |
The amount donated is the total of all your annual payments to the Voluntary Family Offering (Bank Standing order / envelope), Common Fund (Priests), Share, Christmas and Easter Dues as long these donations are received with your details (V.F.O. number/your name and address) and you have completed and returned the Revenue Form CHY3 (link attached (https://www.revenue.ie/en/companies-and-charities/documents/charities/chy3-enduring-certificate.pdf) or available in the Church or from the Secretary, Trish, at the Parish Office. This enables the Parish to apply for the refund.
Thank you.
CONFIRMATION AND FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
